Energy Performance Certificates
Hopton EPC's
All properties being offered for sale or to rent are now required by law to have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) in place. We are able to offer this service on behalf of our Landlords as well as for anyone else requiring one, whether for rental properties or as part of their sales HIPs pack.
EPC's measure the efficiency of a property and offer suggestions for improvement, where applicable, to increase that efficiency. The Report/Certificate will show the rating efficiency from A to G (similar to those you see if you purchase a new fridge, for example). It will also show you the potential rating you can achieve, if you make the recommended improvements. It might be as simple as replacing normal light bulbs with the low energy type.
By carrying out the recommended improvements you will reduce you energy bills, thus recouping some of your costs.
